I would have more items, but not so many as to overcomlicate the issue... I fell 3 is too few and say 25 would be too many with the best anount being somewhere in petween... also I had though of pakages needing delivered to a specific location (contents unknown but probably legal) NPCs i had thought abotut making NPCs look like real players as much as possiable they would apear the same as a player on the score board and do many thuings real players did.... and each time a new player entered the game, a NPC would be generateed at the same time, making it difficult to determine which one was the player and which one was the NPC... each NPC would be oppisite alignment from it's counterpart, keeping the balance in teh universe of 50% evil at all times... l8r, david --- QScan/PCB v1.19b / 01-0154 * Origin: MicroLink BBS * Dinuba, CA 209-591-8753 (1:214/80) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 124 TRADE WARS Ref: F3U00000 Date: 03/23/98 From: ``KATHERINE I. That would be VERY different. There were Belters in the Lensmen books, and other sci-fi works. Basically it's a bunch of grungy guys in low-tech spaceships prospecting for ores in the asteroid belt. It's a science fictional version of the California Goldrush. The bigger rocks would be hollowed out for living quarters, with largest reserved for assay offices and saloons for those coming back from the outer rocks. You'd search for valuable minerals among the asteroids, go back to the assayers to file claims (instead of having a planet), there'd be no need of FTL drives. Corporations would still be viable, and claim jumpers and meteor showers would be a problem too. Instead of going to San Francisco to blow a wad of golddust, you'd go to the Capitol of Mars, Solis Lacus (most likely place to find water on Mars... it means solar lake). Just an idea.
