--------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 267 SUPRA MODEMS Ref: E3P00004 Date: 03/19/97 From: RICHIE Time: 05:56am \/To: ALL (Read 1 times) Subj: 336 SP Had an interesting experience with Supra Voice Mail (latest version). Called home to get messages and heard a dial tone, then the modem trying fax tones and then silence for over 8 minutes (modem is set for 5 min. per message) and finally gave up as it would not return control to me. When I got home the offending message was 5.7 seconds long! Needless to say I went back to using SuperVoice. Part of the problem seems to be that SVM loads several programs into memory at start-up and our old 6100-60 is not fast enough. --- MacKennel 2.6 * Origin: ACEY BBS v34 (509)966-8555 & 972-3472 (1:3407/103.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 267 SUPRA MODEMS Ref: E3P00005 Date: 03/18/97 From: GEORGE SCHIKOWSKI Time: 11:15pm \/To: ELDEN FENISON (Read 1 times) Subj: voice Hello Elden! 16-Mar-97 12:45:00, Elden Fenison wrote to Linda Moore Subject: voice EF> Hello Linda, EF> Sunday March 09 1997 14:51, Linda Moore wrote to Leon Ter Linden: LTL>>> I have a Supra Express Voice 28k8 modem. In case you hear of a modem that is able to do that, could you please let me know which modem can do this. Thanks :-) -=> Cheers, George <=- PS If it is in this echo, I can see it. Then how do you tell your modem which one to -> use? I didn't figure that one out, but Im using a comma as a seperator for the numbers and setting the pause length by register S8. S8= number of 1/2 seconds to wait before dialing the other number. Works good for pagers and Extention phone numbers. -Arthur --- GEcho/32 1.20/Pro * Origin: Longview On-Line! 40+ Gig of Files!
