I'm having trouble recieving my net feeds from hte server I use in New Orleans. I run VA 2.0 yet I had the same problem when I was at VA 1.3. Ever since I changed to this brand new US Robotics 14.4, my CPS during nets is about 30. I thought I had a bad driver in the modem, so I took it back to CompUSA and got another. Well same problem, so I started from scratch and reinstalled VA 2.0. No good...same song second verse. My server assures me in not on their end. I've already checked to make sure I'm using the correct int. string. The default in the VCONFIG for a USR 14.4 (newer) is what I'm using. Any suggestions would be helpful. --- Virtual Advanced Ver 2 for DOS * Origin: The Recompression Chamber (1:3804/66) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 267 SUPRA MODEMS Ref: DFV00005 Date: 11/24/96 From: ALFRED DE RUITER Time: 10:07am \/To: PATRICK MOORE (Read 3 times) Subj: SupraFAXModem 288 PC upgrade >Hello Patrick Two weeks ago I have received the Supra upgrade ROM from Diamond UK. However, the upgrade ROM was not the correct one. In the UK and Holland is it only possible to upgrade the SupraExpress 288 to 33k6. I do not have a SupraExpress 288 but a SupraFAXModem 288 V.34 PC pack. I do want to upgrade my modem to the new standard of V.34 (33k6). What is the procedure if I want to upgrade the modem in the U.S.A.? What are the costs of upgrading through Supra U.S.A.? I hope to hear from you soon. /\ |> |--|lfred de |\uiter/95 Now Also on InterNet: alfred@worldonline.nl http://www.worldonline.nl/~alfred --- GoldED/W32 2.51.A1026+ Using Windows 95 * Origin: BBS De Alchemist Luinjeberd +31-513-52 95 45, VFC/V34 (2:282/708) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 267 SUPRA MODEMS Ref: DFV00006 Date: 11/24/96 From: PRATAP DERRICK Time: 09:39pm \/To: STEPHANE FONTAINE (Read 4 times) Subj: 57k6 Stephane Fontaine wrote in a message to Patrick Moore: SF> Hello Patrick, SF> What's your opinion about the new 57k6 technology ?
