Has anybody noticed the Alien Trader bug? I've seen quite a few Lt. Commanders (65,535 exp), and even more with duplicate names. Is it just my game (i.e. do I have something setup wrong. Though, I fail to see what), or is it v3.05? -Kenshiro Cochrane --- WWIVGate 2.00c * Origin: * Eagle's Dare * Laurel, MD * (301) 498-1984 (1:109/500) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 124 TRADE WARS Ref: EG^00006 Date: 12/30/97 From: CRAIG HEALY Time: 09:17am \/To: JAMES BURT (Read 0 times) Subj: Trade Wars ??? -> -> -> Ok forgive my stupidity but where can I find the latest version -> -> -> of TradeWars. -> -> -> -> You can get it from 1:323/120.0 with a magic name of "TW2002". -> okay i would like to know how to freq a file,. -> would you tell me or someone reading this please tell me,. They will probably ask you to pay the long distance phone bill. It is also available on the Internet from several places. That's the easiest way to do it. I am currently running (registered) a older version 2 Latest version is 3.05 and you can download it from the author's BBS at ftp://loft.martech.net The file name is 2002V305.ZIP and it's located in file area #6 on the BBS. You will need to logon and establish an account on the BBS before downloading the file. It's the usual procedure, answer the basic questionaire on name, address, etc. The BBS is located in Lawrence, Kansas, and they seem to have really lousy phone lines. You may lose the connection before the download is complete and have to try it again, several times, before getting a clean, complete, download. Note: This version of TW2002 requires a Math Co-processor chip in your computer, and a VGA or SVGA video card. If your BBS is running on an old 286 or 386, or 486SX (without floating point processor), or if your video card is CGA or EGA, the program will refuse to load, and you will either have to stick with Version 2, or upgrade your hardware. ...
