Wide SCSI (16 bit data path) supports 15 devices but with Ultra SCSI the practical limit is still probably about 7 since cable length is too short 1.5 meters total) and bus contention on a busy system would lead to needing another host adapter. Ultra2 SCSI uses LVD (low voltage differential) signalling allowing, among other things, much longer cables. --- *Durango b200 #NR* DurangoMail for Windows NT/95 --- QScan/PCB v1.17b / 01-0406 * Origin: Knight Moves - Rochester,NY 716-865-2106 (1:2613/313) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 263 WINDOWS '95 Ref: FA100191 Date: 05/22/98 From: JEAN PARROT Time: 09:21am \/To: BILL DRAKE (Read 6 times) Subj: Regedit. And a nice morning to you Spaceman Bill. How deedoo? Monsieur Bill, I just got a scanner and its loader CD is bad. So, I tried to remove the whole thing using the uninstall file. It said that it had removed all. ! If I look into my D drive, I see a folder still with its name on it, also in C drive. Opening them shows me quite a few files still pertaining to that PRG for the scanner. Now, when I boot my system, it says that it can not find the file so & so.386 and that the system.ini might want it. "EDIT system.ini" does not show this request at all. Now the meat of this post. Where in REGEDIT can I delete this system request on boot up ? Which key and how to get rid of it. I have looked into the registry a few times but never did anything to it as yet but the time has come. Thanks for your time. ... QWKRR128 V5.10 [R] --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Juxtaposition BBS. Some time after the W95 release, Microsoft ported the Open-GL drivers to Win95, and made them, and the 3D savers, available over the Internet. I don't see anything particularly wrong with IBM being able to sell it as the default interface on new hardware sold to schools (Microsoft would still be getting its cut for the operating system software included on the machine). _______________ Internet mail to: azisman@rogers.wave.ca Win95 FAQ at: http://home.bc.rogers.wave.ca/azisman/faq95.htm ___ * WR 1.31 # 126 * --- Maximus 2.01wb * Origin: Basic'ly Computers: Mooo-ing Right Along.
