Actually when this problem occur, I tried already reinstalling the software I'm using starting from win95, microsoft office 95, then I upgraded to microsoft 97, after then I install RapidComm Voice driver. I deleted all this files and start anew. The problem still exist. If you use RapidComm diver in other program to send a fax, it run smooth. Only in office'97 version having a hassle. Commercial programs, such as PowerQuest's Partition Magic or Quarterdeck's Partition It, as well as shareware such as FIPS can be used to make changes to your partitions without destorying the data on them. (I have used Partition Magic, and highly recommend it-- I have no first hand experience with the other two alternatives mentioned). _______________ Internet mail to: azisman@rogers.wave.ca Win95 FAQ at: http://home.bc.rogers.wave.ca/azisman/faq95.htm ___ * WR 1.31 # 126 * --- Maximus 2.01wb * Origin: Basic'ly Computers: Mooo-ing Right Along. That could already have changed by the time you read this, however. _______________ Internet mail to: azisman@rogers.wave.ca Win95 FAQ at: http://home.bc.rogers.wave.ca/azisman/faq95.htm ___ * WR 1.31 # 126 * --- Maximus 2.01wb * Origin: Basic'ly Computers: Mooo-ing Right Along. AJ>Please tell me anything more you know about it and compred it to 95/NT Comparing operating systems is specifically not allowed in this echo-- based on past experience, it has always turned nasty. However, a brief answer is that, like other Unix-based OS's, Linux is more stable than Win95, and provides more efficient multitasking. It is harder to set up, and lacks the wide range of hardware support of W95, and doesn't let you run W95 or DOS programs. Both OS's have their advantages and uses.
