Try right clicking on the Recycle Bin Icon. Then click on Properties in the box that pops up. Click Global tab. Make sure the box marked "Do not move files to the Becycle Bin. Remove files immediately on delete" is _not_ checked. If that's not the problem I'm sure some of the more knowledgable ones here can help. ... Has anyone else heard of this? I want to take advantage of this technology. How do I check to see if y systen has this...what do I look for? I don't know what the USB port looks like. I have learned in this echo why my 2.4gig HDD does not give me > 2 gig to use. FAT 16 in Win95. Now my question. If I go to FDISK to partition it so all is useable, will I loose all on it ? I have a ZIP here and could/should save it all before but I would like to keep away from any surprise. I seems to me that to partition it, would require the DOS to make up another directory and such and that in this re-organiztion, the present FAT would be destroyed. I have just learned by reading here that my 2.4 gig is limited to 2 gigs because of my old Mobo, vintage 92, that is using a BIOS that works on FAT16. Not even PCI slots/cards. I might spring a few duccats and get a new-to-me Mobo just for fun and for Win98, next June 25th.
