If so, have a look at the Noah's Ark Society web site at:- http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~kluski This is continually expanding and while con- centrating on the aspect of physical medium- ship, we are trying to deal with other subjects that are associated with the concept of life after death. We hope to deal with subjects such as NDEs and other issues in due course. At this time, we have a list of the contents of NAS Newsletters from 1995, articles about a sitting with the Circle of Lincoln (one of the physical mediums who demonstrates at NAS seminars), the mediums D. D. Home and Franek Kluski, animal survival, and the validity of Christian Fundamentalism's challenges against Spiritualism. We also now have a growing Links page. The March Newsletter will be running a quiz for NAS members, relating to the subject of Spiritualism's history. Last year, the first prize was a free place at a hotel for a week- end seminar that included talks by well-known speakers and a demonstration by two physical mediums. For those members overseas unable to attend, suitable prizes were selected. We hope to see you at our web page! --- MailGate 0.25e * Origin: Ask your Fido Feed for I_UFO (1:330/201.1) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 258 CHANNELING Ref: E2F00043 Date: 02/09/97 From: BRENDA Time: 10:51am \/To: ALL (Read 1 times) Subj: Hearing from the deceased Reply-to: brenda@sonic.net From: "brenda" Newsgroups: alt.paranormal.channeling Organization: Sonoma Interconnect,Santa Rosa,CA(us),http://www.sonic.net Original Date: Sat, 08 Feb 1997 20:57:21 -0800 There seems to be so little to read in this newsgroup that is on topic. I offer this personal account in hopes of starting a dialog. Two years ago I was contacted by my friend's deceased father. I was awoken by a strange and insistent "voice". It took some time to figure out who was sending me these "thoughts". I'd met the man just once, shortly before he'd died a year earlier. He said he had a message that he wanted delivered to my friend, his daughter. At first I didn't know what to think. But the message was so clear and persistent, that I took a chance. Part of his urgent message was that he wanted to be remembered, "right now", that day. I was very hesitant to drive over and deliver this message. I wondered what could be urgent about that? Couldn't I just tell her the next time that I saw her? But the Father insisted; it couldn't wait. I arrived at my friend's home feeling awkward. I was sure I was going to look like a fool and loose her friendship. I was concerned too, about showing up unexpectedly at 8AM on a Sunday. She answered the door fully dressed and busily putting the final touches on a large meal. Her big table was filled with place settings and plates of food. Family members would soon be arriving for a big birthday brunch. All the birthdays that month would be celebrated at this meal. When I delivered the message, my friend immediately told her daughter, "Go get Grandpa's picture and put it on the table." Now I understood the urgency of his message. Had he been alive the family would have included celebrating his birthday that day. He wanted to be there with them. As it turned out, he was included. And much to my relief, the family welcomed "hearing" from him and they were eager to hear about the encounter. My life hasn't been the same since. I always wanted to believe in an afterlife, hoped that it was true. Now I know that we don't die. Our skin and bones pass away, but not the part that is really important. Our capacity for love and caring does not end. Love does not die. But here's the really good part. Before I got to my girlfriend's house I chickened out. I parked and sat in my car at the end of her rural street. I decided that since it was so early, not wanting to wake anyone, I'd sit and watch the sunrise. Then I'd go give her this message. I had a great vista. A large lagoon and mountains to the east. It was very beautiful. Mist was rising off of the water and birds were starting to call. As the sun rose I was unexpectedly filled with emotion. A complete and overwhelming sense of love. The love that a father has for his children. The image of the sunrise and the love that filled me was more than I could bear. I was crying, it was too much. For that moment I felt completely loved and in love. Afterwards I felt as if I'd been burned, as if I'd gotten too close and had been singed. I'd been exposed to something beyond my capacity to hold it. It was unfathomable. I don't know if her Dad was showing me how much he loved his family or if God was showing me love. Maybe both. But that was the moment in which I knew that our love we have for one another goes beyond this physical life. That it reaches out across all space and time and has no boundary. Here's the human part. Now that the sun was up (and I really needed to pee) I decided to drive home. I reasoned I could call my girlfriend later in the day. I went to turn the key in the ignition, thinking maybe I wouldn't bother her with it at all. My car battery was dead. It would not turn over. Not a click. I could not believe I was in the middle of nowhere, with a dead battery and a "dead guy" talking to me. Now I didn't have much of a choice but to walk up the road to my friend's house. I found it somewhat amusing and couldn't get over the irony of it. It felt like I was being held to account for a promise I'd made. I'm glad I was. --- MailGate 0.25e * Origin: Ask your Fido Feed for I_UFO (1:330/201.1) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 258 CHANNELING Ref: E2F00044 Date: 02/09/97 From: OBIWAN@USA1.COM Time: 10:54am \/To: ALL (Read 1 times) Subj: Re: Apollo Moon Landings Faked Propogand10:54:0002/09/97 From: "obiwan@usa1.com" Newsgroups: lt.misc.forteana,soc.culture.europe,soc.culture.canada,soc.cultur .usa,alt.usa-sucks,alt.conspiracy,alt.nuke.the.usa,alt.government abuse,alt.alien.visitors,alt.paranormal,alt.paranet.ufo,uk.media. Ligible is readable, but I didn't think to try and make it plural feminine. I'm bilingual from birth not from teaching so a lot of the tenses escapes me.
