The personality who runs these character scams has no purpose or philosophy other than power over other peoples paths. Those interested in tracking this phenommenon should also check alt.dreams.castaneda. Originally based on alt.cyberspace, these could be the very same pseudo-psychologists regularly despatched into Usenet by as yet unknown powers-that-be who are constantly trying to fragment any real issues because they know that the bonding of our group-consciousness may be enabling evolutionary cultural growth which in turn could make it possible for a truly democratic rethink on the fundamental priorities of human affairs. (Some don't like this idea). Be warned that hanging out here can cause you to experience discontinuous reality as we slide towards the edge of the millennium. Some say that Usenet is the 'soul' of the Internet, and thus the Global 'collective unconscious'. Others say that cyberpunk recited tales of virtual myths doesn't explain 'synthetic mysticism' to them. Shrug. Plato reputedly created the concept of eternity, which may be the summation of all our yesterdays, today's and tommorows, but he also surmised that eternity may also be the point at which past present and future collide. This image of eternity may now have externalised as the Internet. If this seems complicated that's OK, because philosophers and sages from Plato to Sarfatti (get him at his website "http://www.hia.com/" or on alt.consciousness), have been arguing over the nature of time since way back. Comparatively recently, the German philosopher, Arthur Schopenhauer, b. 1788, d. 1860, taught a pessimistic view of existence which placed emphasis on human will instead of intellect. He proposed that; "- life is broken up into Day and night by sleep, for if there was no sleep then living would become unbearable in it's simultaneous deployment". It's as well that he's not around to see the advent of the I-Net, for we're slowly getting closer to a 24 hour existence as many of us already endure simultaneous day and night. Yes, to exist in the Internet is to partake of time to the fullest, which must surely be the supreme and fundamental problem of modern metaphysics. And maybe, just maybe, someone on the Internet will learn the secret of space-time, which may lie trapped within the Global Mind as it guides the evolution of man through the Multiverse. Lets hope they'll x-post this knowledge when they do. schwann-cyber-shaemon copyright:4/1/97 --- MailGate 0.25e * Origin: Ask your Fido Feed for I_UFO (1:330/201.1) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 258 CHANNELING Ref: E1F00007 Date: 01/09/97 From: DAINE@FRII.COM Time: 12:09am \/To: ALL (Read 0 times) Subj: Spirit to Spirit: Jan. issue From: daine@frii.com Newsgroups: lt.religion.universal-life,alt.religion.urantia-book,alt.religion alt.alt.religion.gnostic,astrology,alt.theosophy,alt.paranormal.c hanneling, Organization: Front Range Internet, Inc. Sure. But they use terms with which other people agree upon the meaning and associate them in a logical manner to build a larger concept. You see how that works? You've got to use words and constructs that people can process rationally in order to discuss or debate an issue.
