Jane, Candida loves sugar / dextrose as far as my knowledge goes now... All those supplements I've used for years... I'm 36, but in good health about 80+% of people guessing my age would estimate it to be 23. As I said, I'm still waiting for that gov't lab report on the penile biopsy... if they found nothing, I would know by now... so I assume they did find something.... heck my infection might just be Candida + Xanthomonas Maltophilia (a plant rot bacteria) similar to the almost incurable Pseudomonas Aeuroginosa (a soil bacteria and also a nosocomial agent). Hi Sue, A rectal swab came back negative for all Candida species... so at least it's not in my digestive tract. Also negative for entero hemorragenic bacteria there as well... Sometime I think .... all the things I have to go through ... well, I never give up till I get what I want!!! I am planning to incorporate it into my treatment strategy. I'll very likely go for the capsules... I used to like yogurt (sp?) but I noticed that it caused (i my case) my toe nails to deform a bit or grow irregularly... so I don't use it anymore because of that. Yup those suggestions have been made by many people; I glad you told me about the dosage schedule... how llong total time should I take it? A "Hassle Free Clinic" here in Toronto... my doctor there suggested Canesten 2 x per day (wash my "#3") and apply it morning and night and continue like this for 2 - 3 weeks... and then for another 1 week after symptoms have subsided. I now have so many ideas... I gotta assemble a complete plan.... Would you have any suggestions as to what I should do IE: the treatment SEQUENCE: I could use: 1. Diflucan (Fluconazole -- VERY POTENT CAndida killer) 2. Lactobacillus + Acidophilus (sp?) 3. Herbal remedies... At this time, I have no idea how I'm gonna make an effective strategy... I suspect that the Candida may be in my testicles and replicating in the seminal fluid... But a "Four Glass" test came back negative... Didn't mean to be graphic, just precise.... What I can tell you is that on March 29th, I looked at #3 and saw a LOT of grey skin patches... again, very typical of Candida... My God, I've never had a health problem for most of 34 years... but this... I'm gonna exterminate this parasite forever!!!! That determined! This thing is just Ugly and Evil... Thanks! Sue, I DID ask for a blood culture... but they just don't listen here in Toronto... When it comes to health and medicine and doctors... tell me this: HOW DO I FIND THE RIGHT DOCTOR??????????? Do I sk for his / her resume?? Credentials? Experiences? JUST *** HOW *** do find that special caring doctor... they don't go around with a T-shirt saying "I'm a GOOD doctor". HOW, HOW, HOW??????????/ Other bacteria? Yoo right: 3 different types of Proteus species were really the cause of my heart murmur and almost 100 beats per minute pulse rate.... That thing was also causing the lumps on top of my left biceps and upper left groin aeas.... bow they're gone ... took a LOT of Septra... so I know this bacteria cannot synthesize it's own Folic Acid. My wife Linda who is also disabled and in a wheelchair has cronic problems. The latest episode wnet on for about a month with all the tests the doctor ran showing now infections or higher bacteria levels in he system. It was only after returning to a much healthier diet that the problem all but went away. Last month the budget being so tight (fixed income) fresh vegetables and salad fixings were greatly reduced from our diets. The cost of lettuce alone had doubled in our area. We still had vegetables but less often or in smaller amounts. This month has been different. I increased the salads and veggies a great deal. Within about 5 days the problem all but went away. Than for a few days she had no salads (high fibre diet) the problem began to come back. There o, eating a regular healthier diet controls the problem. It also helps to educe a little weight for those to could do with loosing a few pounds. My wife and I fall into this area. Once again increasing salads halted the problem again before it got real bad. Conclusion: The more healthy people eat, (not eat all the junk food) the less health problems of many kinds they would have. Also the medical costs would be alost lower. Prevention of problems is always cheaper than after get problems. ...Peter Groves...Hamilton, Ontario...TTYL... ... OH NO!
