Hi Jane, Well, I went to a dermatologist and she looked at my "#3" and then quickly asked me if I had any sores in my mouth... I said "yes". At the very bck of my throat -- upper side.... no other abnormalities. She took swabs and all came back (-). She even tested for herpes -- also (-). They (the two raised bumps) just sit there... no pain, nothing else to speak of... as far as symptoms go. But they ARE similar to what on saw on my "#3" (you know what I r\mean, right!?) Don't know Jane, after I brush my teeth, and check my tongue, I can see a lot of yellowish like tissue.... that was yesterday evening... NOW at 1:17 PM Friday, (I just checked), my tongue looks just about normal... with just a tiny bit of yellowish tinge... Is that significant? Sorry to bother you with all these messages, but I hope we can both learn from this (after all we are real people, yes?)... and I'm just fighting for something that was given to me for free -- my health and good genetics.... health is often a matter of urgency --- and sometimes, as one of Murphy's Laws --- Left to themselves, things so from bad to worse"... or something to that effect. Hi Jane, I may have already answered you on another BBS, but since I'm on several here in Toronto, I keep running into your message... Wanted to know: when you had Candida, did you have any inflamatory (redness) say on the palms of your hands? Were your fingertips red or more red than usual?? Since I'm a guy, I can do a douche but, for me this fungus is just terrible! Hmm... Since this is a common problem with many people, I'd really like to have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions / Answers) for Candida and other yeast like fungi... short term symptoms, and long term health consequences... could a bunch of us work together and compile our collective experiences and knowledge? I think such wouls be very helpful to many folks, even those with Thrush or penile/vaginal/intestinal Candida. I must tell you that candida if not treated csan become very serious health matter... I've seen photomicrography of Candida infecting and growing in heart tissue of AIDS patients... Sorry i don't use an offline mail reader right now am kinda pressed for time... want to back up my Gnome Online! BBS to floppies... I'm going to rad over your message and respond in detail. Like I mentioned to jane Kelly, I just wish there was a Candida FAQ some place... Sorry, that should be 'read' over your message above there... You may be right that it may be more insidious.... and may be a systemic infection of some kind, but I can tell you what bacteria I have had so far since all this started June 01, 1996: 1. "Enterococcus Species" (actually it's aka as Streptococcus Group ('D') 2. Enterobacter Cloacea 3. More Enterococcus 3 months later 4. Klebsiella 5. Proteus Mirabillis 6. Proteus Vulgaris 7. More Enterococcus 3 months later 8. Acinetobacter "species" 9. Xanthomonas Maltophilia - sensitive ONLY to Gentamicin req. I.V.) 10. Suspected "It looks like a classical yeast infection" with redness, rawness, swelling, itching is what my Dr. Charles said at the biopsy on March 18/98 -- still don't know the results from the Gov't of Ontario Lab. 11. January 19/ 98 -- Proteus (what exact species, i don't know.) To be honest, I could even smell the weird odour comming from my underarms every time Iasked my doctor to do a urinalysis and now I've recently read there is a newly developed diagnostic machine which can analyze breath and detect infections --- all I can say from all of this, is that 'I didn't smell like myself... I can sweat heavily and there is no odour; at least from my experiences before 1996 that fatefult day. And, ... it was not sexually transmitted in any way... but I transferred it to '#3' after handling a shared bathroom doorknob immediately after a person I knew casually (and their medical history -- car crash, blood transfusions, dies on op table, etc.... ) used the bathroom, I closed the bathroom door and the door know was dripping wet... well now I know with what.... Strange eh? But true... and still have my virginity I remember a quote: "What a day may bring, a day may take away." So, since all this time, I've got more cortisone than you've got margarine! It's sooo difficult to find a good understanding doctor... I just can't ask for a biopsy or tissue scraping... I need to provide OVERWHELMING evidence for them to take me seriously.... I could write this entire story... and maybe it could be published someplace... might make interesting reading about our health care system, disgnosis, and doctor's attitudes... Okay Sue, thanks for listening; I'm going to responf to your messsage more specifically later today or tomorrow. Another remedy is to use plain unflavored yoghurt when douching, and to limit douching to cleansing out the remains of your period after it's over. LN> LN> Are there any WWW sites to visit?
