What drives me _nuts_ are the folks who can't understand that peppers have _flavour_. There are those who just heap on the hot stuff, and all you get is a burn. Nothing else... all flavour trashed by pure heat. I don't go for that. I have a buddy who makes a six-alarm chili that's basically inedible.... useless waste of peppers. There's an art to using the hot stuff that can turn out some amazingly edible, but still-hot dishes. --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Fox n' Dragon Inn BBS (472-8313, Victoria, BC) (1:340/44) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 257 ALTERN. I have been reading this echo for several months, but never had anything to ask or say until now. Last week on Public Radio locally, on a show called "The People's Pharmacy", there was a lengthy section dealing with "Co-Q/10", by an MD, last name of Sinatra, (as in Ole Blue Eyes), from a med school in Connecticut, i think. He spoke VERY highly of Co-Q/10, saying it was essential for coronary health, and that it was much like a vitamin in the way it works. Does anybody have any experience or information on Co-Q/10? Including dosage info. I think he recommended up to 100mg daily. The capsules or pills i find on the shelf are 30mg. So, what gives?? Any help appreciated. ...tony ... CL> Apparently they do something to the mucous membranes in the nose and throat that inhibit viruses from lodging there. They worked for me a couple of times. The best part of the story is that I made a nice bundle by buying some Cold Eze stock and selling it when it doubled. Later on it quadrupled, but I'm not greedy, just overly cautious. There are a lot of these types of lozenges on the market now. The Cleveland Clinic Department of Pediatrics did an extensive study on Cold Eze and found that it really was effective in lessening the severity and length of time of colds once you get them. --- GAPNet Enhanced * Origin: QUACKERS BBS - Cleveland, Ohio (1:157/443.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 257 ALTERN. I slacked off a few days ago, and yesterday I woke up sick. My doctor recommended it for a "recurrent viral infection" I had in my throat.
