But, I SK> may be wrong. :) You weren't wrong. :-) You may have read the moderator's admonition that discussion of illegal substances was prohibited here. As a matter of fact, however, a week ago Atty General Lundgren who would have been very happy to outlaw all discussion of medical or other marijuana, changed his mind. Now that he's running for governor, he's decided to back a state sponsored study of medical marijuana - so its OK to talk about it now. Why do you suppose he changed his mind ? Did he finally get around to reading that NIH report that said that marijuana may have valuable medical properties? If you're in California, Arizona, or Virginia where its legal for medical uses, I guess you can talk about it. But if you're in those states where medical marijuana is still illegal, its still not permitted to talk about it here. Thank heavens for states' rights, eh ? I apologize if I missed this, and I am sure that the moderator will make a point of clearing this up if it is so. What I understood from what has made it to this bbs from the ALTMED forum is that the moderator prefers that medical marijuana not be discussed at length, that its legal status is not debatable, and that discussion regarding it be within the law. Of course, flame wars are always off-topic. Here is what I base my conclusion upon: Date : Wed Aug 20, 07:52 From : Dia Spriggs To : J. Doe Subj : Re: Open minds [...] The fact is it IS illegal...
