When I first read this book I cried because it was like the book was written about my daughter and yet I was also angry because we have had problems since birth and all the doctors thought it was me who had the problem because there still are a lot of doctors who don't believe in A.D.D,,,,,,so after a while you begin to believe that maybe you just aren't parenting right,,,,,but after implementing many of the suggestions from the above named book along with medication we are all much happier and now have a daughter that instead of saying she is stupid is feeling much more confident,,,,,and is progressing everyday,,,,I will look up the info you suggested on the internet it certainly is a mine field of info Trouble was I think was that I was looking up that other medicine you mentioned pycno something and was coming up only with bad things about Ritalin but as you say it was all adverts so of course they are going to bag Ritalin,,,,,anyway thanks again ...... cya Lisa Madge --- FMail 1.20 * Origin: Reggie's BBS Bomaderry NSW Australia +61 044 210720 (3:624/140) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 257 ALTERN. If I remember right it is has many causes but all create trouble in the seventh cranial nerve area. The solution to the problem for me was a short stay in a Navy Hospital and physiotherapy massage. I can't remember the length of time it took to recover fully but there were signs of improvement in about two weeks. A concern at the time was protecting the eye that stayed open all the time and without care would tend to dry out when sleeping. I made a full recovery. That was almost forty years ago. It would be best if you saw a medical Doctor just to make sure that is what the problem is . Good Luck and have patience. Bud CM> ... You have done nothing more than make unsupported assertions or denials in anything you have posted regarding marijuana. Considering the false, broad statements you have made regarding the physiological effects of marijuana, there is no reason to believe this or any other *claim* you have made regarding your qualifications or experience with respect to marijuana use. Depending on the subject, being permitted to testify as an expert witness doesn't mean that a person necessarily knows the truth -- just that they claim to have more experience in a subject than the average person. Moreover, even if your claim regarding having knowledge about AA and NA were true, you have demonstrated that you know nothing about the effects of cannabis or any other drug on the general population that consumes them. Your only conclusions in this regard are based upon generalizing from your alleged experience with NA and AA to the rest of the world, and these conclusions are erroneous. So, it is likely that you have misrepresented your connection to NA and AA and it is certain that you have no competence regarding the general effects of drugs in general, let alone marijuana, on the general population. The uncontroverted evidence is that the vast majority of people who drink alcohol or use marijuana don't have a problem with these substances. Your statements to the contrary demonstrate your disingenuousness regarding matters relevant to this subject. --- * Origin: 61 deg. 25' N / 149 deg. 40' W (1:17/75) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 257 ALTERN. The studies and citations, *including from the NIDA*, I have posted for you demonstrate that *no one* knows what you claim here except for you. And, you have *never* been able to substantiate your claims. JK> And, the stuff is much stronger than it used to be in the 1970's. The potency of marijuana has always differed, depending on which kind and its growing conditions. So this is meaningless -- it depends on what you get. But, even if there were some marijuana available now that is stronger than any marijuana that was available before (do you have some credible evidence of this?) all that this would mean would be that a person could take less for the same effect or medicinal benefit. And, this is a good thing. Many people smoke it rather than take it by the entirely safe means of vaporizing it or cooking it in food. Smoke from burning any kind of carbon-based substances (leaves, wood, etc.) contains combustion byproducts that are potentially damaging to the lungs and other parts of the body. So, if there were now available some marijuana that is stronger than any previously available, those who smoked it could smoke less of it, and they would be less likely to be harmed by the smoke. --- * Origin: 61 deg. 25' N / 149 deg. 40' W (1:17/75) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 257 ALTERN.
