If this IS true then my initial comment still stands "Maybe if SK> you posted a *subject* instead of complaining a new thread will SK> evolve". Seeing that she hasn't done so I'd dare say she's not doing SK> her job as you state it to be. Its standard Fidonet practice that moderators make and administer conference rules. Fidonet is NOT intended to be democratic in any way sape or form. If you are suffering from that misapprehension, be disabused of it right now. That said, I have to say as 20 BBS user, that Dia Sprigs is one of the most tolerant and easygoing conference hosts I've EVER seen and your comments are completely out of line. I think you owe her an apology. And forget those silly ideas about democracy rambling around your skull. This is America. Legalizing medical marijuana involves such a tiny amount of the marijuana trade that it has no influnece at all on its general availability. And as much as its political opponents like to say that marijuana is the "gateway drug" for chidren, the truth is that for the last 5 decades, TOBACCO has been the gateway drug, as has ALCOHOL, due to their wide acceptance by society. Opponents of medical marijuana like to maintain the fiction that tobacco and alcohol are not drugs. That's why they have coined the terminology: alcohol AND drugs - tobacco is not even considered. You won't find a lot of rationality in the arguments against medical marijuana - just a lot of anecdotal stuff which is always chosen for its sensationalistic aspects.
