As I no longer run RyBBS it seems only fair to pass the reins to somene who does. At a bare minimum, the least one need do as a moderator is update the echolist by netmail once every 6 months, and mybe post the rules once in a while. If you are interested, contact me here, or by netmail or email to make arrangements. I'll provide you with the rules file, echolist entry, and password. Hi Bob, RF>What ever the reason is it is a shame as RYBBS I feel RF>has been very competitive with the other Big named RF>softwares out there. I have been using RYBBS since RF>1989 and I am not looking forward to changing but RF>time will tell. With Greg pulling out they may RF>pull the plug on this conference soon. If that RF>should happen I would just like to say good bye RF>as it's been a great 6 years here in RYBBSOP. I shut down my Rybbs system last week. I still can't bring myself to delete it though. Maybe someone will take over the program as Greg offered. I do like PcBoard though. PcB isn't near as sysop-friendly as RyBBS. I too have been running Ry since 1989. Just remember it will still do what it always has, it just won't improve. As to the echo, as long as there is some traffic, and the moderator updates the echolist every 6 months, it should continue, and I would think that now it is more important than ever. *---- => => => => Jim Henry --=> => => => ----* |AirPower Information jim@airpower.com | | Services RYBBSOP Moderator Fido 1:273/408 | |(610) 259-2193 PR_Net 176:500/0 | |Home of AIRGUN*HQ For more about AirPower - info@airpower.com | *---- <= <= <= <=---------- <= <= <= <=---------- <= <= <= <=----* --- SLMR 2.1a Smith & Wesson..the ORIGINAL Point & Click Interface * Origin: AirPower Information Services (1:273/408) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 256 RYBBS Ref: D1X00004 Date: 01/26/96 From: JIM HENRY Time: 07:36pm \/To: ALL (Read 5 times) Subj: RYBBSOP MODERATORSHIP Would anyone out there like to take over as Moderator of this echo? Great as I really don't think I will be changing software for awhile. I will still have you to Netmail and annoy if I have a problem.
