Haven't had too much time lately to fool with Rybbs. Put it on hold for me though and I'll make time for it. I'm currently trying to offer both systems on the same phone line, using Binkley to answer the phone, and then calling BFE (BBS Front End). As long as I can get that running, I will not abandon Ry. I came home one night and the powersupply on my first net'ed computer had blown and it was a hopeless case. I'm faced with a few options: 1) i can bring it back up and proceed as normal 2) i can leave it down and do and support through fido and the internet 3) i can convince somebody else to be the main bbs for Rybbs support Frankly, RyBBS subscriptions have been very poor the last year and I'm definitely thinking about throwing in the towel totally. The bbs is all but dead most of the time...sometimes i'll not get a single call. My full time job keeps me very busy and find that i have less and less time to spend updating RyBBS (i've not made any changes for months, really). I'm willing to share the source code with anybody who wants to try to continue on with RyBBS...it's written in Turbo Pascal. It does require object pascal from Turbo Power software but if you're programming in TP it's a great product to have anyway. I've been purposely NOT accepting renewals or new orders so that there would be no hard feelings when this time came. This is not necessarily my "goodbye" speech...however, the people running Ry currently have really been reduced to a large handful and it's not profitable nor enjoyable to me anymore. I'm willing to continue monitoring the RyBBS fido network and accepting email (greg@execpc.com) for support.
