Look at the S95 register in your profile, it usually controls which response the modem sends, DTE or DCE rate. You want the DCE rate. If you are using ATZ as your init, you have to save the S95 setting above to NVRAM with a manual AT&W at a terminal screen after setting the S95 register. I am assuming that the modem uses a rockwell chipset, I don't have one, as I run USRs. --- * Origin: V.34 @The Verplanck Point Somewhere in NY/NJ (1:2604/539.11) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 256 RYBBS Ref: CFJ00001 Date: 11/13/95 From: JIM HENRY Time: 04:12pm \/To: BILL MITCHELL (Read 4 times) Subj: Ansi file @ command BM>Any chance of supplying a means to change the character used in ansi BM>menus , the @ in particular. By the AT&W at terminal string you mean as answer string? I believe I have it set to DCE rate... At first I was just getting the locked baud as connect rate, now it gives the actual calling rate. It seems to be running fine now except that the few people that tried 28800 baud get garbage, or disconnected. Seems to work fine up to 21600 baud. Is there some new startup commands for higher baud rates than 14400 and so also? -Doug- --- RyPacker v2.7 * Origin: RyBBS HomeBase `Home of RyBBS!' Hi All, Was wondering if anyone can tell me the best modeinit.bbs setup for a ACCURA 288B modem. Thought I had it going good. Now it scrambles screens up with remote log-ons for some reason. Need to get it working correctly for sure. Anyone out there with this modem, or similar HAYES modem, can give me a setup you use I'd appreciate it. Thanks for any help.
