Hello Bill, -> JH>BTW, I have verified that it works for me for both regular file -> JH>transfers AND qwk file transfers. You had said you couldn't make -> JH>the qwk transfers work onn more than one node. -> -> Simply because I could not get Ry to pass the correct port info. If I -> compile a kludge DSZ.COM which removes the incorrect port info that -> Ry passes and runs the real DSZ.COM with the DSZPORT info, QWK file -> transfers work fine. In this case I use COM# and IRQ # in startup.bbs -> Well I'm puzzled because I did not do any such thing. At this point I have no idea why it's working on COM1 and COM4 and not COM2 and COM3! -> JH>Additionally, I am using only the regular COM# statement in each -> JH>startup.x file, no BASEADDR, or IRQ. -> -> Yup, that's the real fix, ry insists on having the com# stuff. -> -> JH>Now I need to figure out how to get the same echomail into both -> the JH>PcBoard and Ry systems and back out again! -> -> Well, what's used for the inbound mail for PC Board? Since I might go -> manynodes with that free digiboard I have I might need to do the -> same. -> Bill -> I'm writing this on a PcB node BTW. With PcBFido, I have the option of running a batch file called POSTCALL.BAT as soon as the mail comes in and BEFORE PcbFido handles it. I am trying to have POSTCALL.BAT run the same mail routine that is in my Bink.bat batch file, just note delete anything, and then let PcBFido take it from there and unpack the mail for PcB. I am using the same inbound and outbound directories in both my PcB and Bink/Squish/Ry setups. That didn't seem towork though so changed to using a different inbound directory for PcB, and the first thing that POSTCALL.bat now does is copy everything form one inbound directory to the other inbound directory (duplicating everything) and then run the mail unpacking for Bink/Squish/Ry. I thought this worked but it doesn't at least not all the time. What I now think might be the problem is that my Rybbs node one must be loaded when POSTCALL.BAT runs or else the mail doesn't get imported into the Bink/Squish/Ry setup. I'm not sure about this but maybe since Rypacker references my main Rybbs directory that particular node must be loaded? What do you think? If I do get past all this the other problem is duplicating mail that is posted by one of my users on a Ry ode into a pCB NODE, AND VICE VERSA. I have no idea how to accomplish this. Still, it will be worth it. Last night I got my internet gateway working and voila, mail came in addressed to my airpower.com domain! This internal uucp support is one of the main reasons I am doing this, besides the need for more nodes. I doubt if I could free up four interupts, but beyond that, what I was attempting to do was get Ry to work with my multi-port board. The goal was to run 4 Rybbs nodes, but 6 modems, 4 external on the multi-port board alonf with two internal. My plan was to use the 2 extra modems for dial out access for my internet door, and perhaps for the mailer to use for polling to pick up mail or do the uucp exchanges for my gateway to pick up internet email. I've since taken a different route. I am running 2 nodes Rybbs, one on an internal modem and one on an external modem. That is the only way I could get file transfers to work on both nodes. I am going to use PcBoard to run the additional nodes. I much prefer Ry's callers' interface, but have grudgingly accepted the fact that PcB offers me more power.
