I saw no mention of the "$" anywhere in the docs, so I have tried it but have gotten the same results. I have no problem disregarding the fact that the call waiting screen shows port 1 but unfortunately the problem still exists. There is bleed through between every node that says "port 1" on the call waiting screen and operation very quickly become unreliable. -Jim- --- SLMR 2.1a If Nicole Simpson had a gun we'd know who TRIED to do it! --- RyPacker v2.5 * Origin: AirPower Home of the AIRGUN Echo 610-259-2193 (1:273/408) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 256 RYBBS Ref: CED00002 Date: 10/08/95 From: DAVE HASSLER Time: 11:17am \/To: BILL MITCHELL (Read 5 times) Subj: Deleting old msgs ...from the splendor of the Pacific Northwest... Hi, Bill. This is *exactly* what I need to do. I need to limit one board to under 200 msgs (heavier traffic, like 50-80 msg/day), but leave the other one's alone (light traffic). Is a FReq possible? It's three nodes, and IRQs 2,4 and 7 are what I will use, fossil and DSZ. The problem so far has been getting Ry to pass the correct info to DSZ for the port in use, especially in the QWK file transfer. I may resort to using 4DOS so that I can intercept and turn off the port data RY passes. I could alias DSZ and throw away the incorrect data, I've already tried that a while ago and it worked. --- RyPacker v2.5a * Origin: The Right Place V.34+ DS RyBBS Ft. The utility I wrote is really for a BBS with many, 100, 200 or more boards where you want to cut down the time needed for RPACK to manage the amount of messages. What it does is run RPACK only on the boards that need it. Since it's only one board you want to limit, why not just use RPACK on that one board. If the board name was: !WAZOO (!WAZOO.LIN, !WAZOO.MES & !WAZOO.PTR) and the boards are in: c:\boards Then in your RYBBS directory do the following: RPACK /M /L /N200 /Sc:\boards\!WAZOO Ryack will then delete how ever many messages it needs to delete to leave 200 messages in the board. BTW, if you aren't running SHARE, drop the /L on the RPACK command line. No need to manually delete anything, RPACK will simply delete them. --- RyPacker v2.5a * Origin: The Right Place V.34+ DS RyBBS Ft.
