I have re-installed zmodem. I have deleted alot of new stuff on this new machine that seems to be Windows specific as I don't really give a hoot about Windows; this freed up some memory, now have about 160k free. Didn't really think it was memory anyway though. Problem seems to only happen with zmodem uploads above 2400bps. I noticed today when I witnessed it happening to a caller after message Error 103 it said invalid directory. It does indeed seem to my uneducated mind to be some sort of command line problem. But what? I have in my directories a SZ.bat and Rz.bat that I have re-installed from scratch from a dsz11214.zip archive. Do I need to modify these or any other batch files in any way? It's been a long time since I first installed zmodem. Any ideas will be much appresicated, I6m really pulling my hair out! I also tried commenting out my disk cache and rerunning optimize but this didn't help. Up to this point I had been inclined to think the problem was not with Rymult but with my particular configuration. I just saw the email msg to you from Ralph Wilcox and he is having the same problem. I now believe this problem is not with the file transfer process per se, as I just watched one of the errors happen with one of my callers. The zmodem upload actually does go successfully, and then the airpower.rep file is unpacked and the callers replies are placed in their respective message areas. THEN AT THIS INSTANT THE SYSTEM CRASHES with error #103 at the address I quoted previously. The callers session is never logged tot he callers log so I have no idea how much it happens without reading my error.log Others might check theirs too. Any way does this shed any light? The guy decided that since he couldn't find where the line entered the building he should just cut me off. I can hardly wait for my phone bill. There better be soon REAL savings. I went to QEMM and now have an extra 75k of memory. I am going to load DesqView this weekend and try getting the second line up using my home number. If all goes well I'll order a third line this week. I have not had the total lockup since I increased the memory. Hopefully that was the trouble. 182,xxx wasn't enough left over to load the bulletin files. I now have 252,xxx. and all looks good. Dane --- RyPacker v2.7 * Origin: RyBBS HomeBase `Home of RyBBS!'
