It also happens when callers do qwk uploads, downloads, or any zmodem transfer on either node (I run 2). Yet zmodem works fine in Binkley. I just switched from a 33mhz 386sx to a 90 mhz Pentium and still have the same problem. On a more positive note, the speed is incredible! My morningcleanup event used to take about 40 minutes. Now it takes about 3! Jim --- RyPacker v2.7 * Origin: RyBBS HomeBase `Home of RyBBS!' Robert, do you always have to be so antagonistic? How about, "I guess you missed my first message, but this is my question... "? If I was Greg, I'd have probably given your money back, and said keep the program, don't come to me for support. Have you tried to troubleshoot over the phone or via E-mail? It's darn tough, and I think Greg has been doing a pretty good job of it. I just think you should cut him a little more slack. -- Jim --- SLMR 2.1a "Ummm, trouble with grammar have I! It locks up there for no known reason. I have changed over to QEMM and have gone from 182,xxx to 252,xxx of memory. I have only run for one day, and it seems to have helped.......at least no lockups yet, but I also realize now that the system locked up on new users and users that had their subscription end and the system was attempting to access that file sub.bbs file. Could there be some code problems there? Has anyone else had the problem reported? Dane --- RyPacker v2.7 * Origin: RyBBS HomeBase `Home of RyBBS!' He's gotta a fair bit to do, I'd guess. My solution is to switch to Synchronet v2.1. I know they're tech support people are there all the time; if you want proffesional-level support, buying shareware isn't the way to do it. I find it unfortunate that I couldn't get the level of support and features from RyBBS. Small stuff like the RyPacker bugs just get grating after a while, though. I'm not quite done the set up for Synchronet yet, so I'll be running Ry for a little while still. Who knows, maybe I'll actually get to see a few more things ironed out.
