As it turns out, we have been running RyBBS v7.1 and it has been working well. Unfortunately, I want to move the BBS to another computer with a new modem. So far, I have had no luck in this endeavor. My lastest problem for the past week is that when I boot up the BBS, it initializes the modem and then reboots my system! Needless to say, this won't do. I will give you a quick run down of the system specs to see if you know offhand what my problem might be. Compaq Prolinea 3/25s w/Cyrix chip upgrade to 486/25 sx 8 MB RAM 87 MB Hard Drive Space Single-user only Hayes Compatible 2400 Baud Modem Also the machine will be attached to a Novell Network, but the prob del evelop before the network i Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated! I'm running 8.04e without too much trouble but I have been having problems in my local net (273) and nnone of my mail is getting out. I wanted to mention that there is still a problem with chat. It works ok IF people on each node go into cha But they have no way of knowing that someone else wants them to go into chat. THaT is the part that doesn't work. You need something that will notify thewm that they are being paged that perhaps would say: "Caller on node 3 would like to chat, select [T] from any menu." Or something like that. And it would be nice that once into chat callers could be identified by name. Right now it looks like this: [n1] Hi there [N2] Hello! How about? {[N1] Jim Henry} Hi there {[N2] John Doe} Hello! Also with the *.msgs - once Squish goes to process them I get notified that the date is grunnged on each msg. I am also having intermittent "Error #103" when callers use qwk. I feel this is probably something with my setup or memory allocation and not Ry, but I could use some hints! I have one other problem. My node 1 is called up by Binkley when needed, my node 2 runs jnٓW/ٳofrp*{ekYSbw{ζ/D --- RyPacker v2.7 * Origin: RyBBS HomeBase `Home of RyBBS!' Awhile back I asked you about moving the check mail option to after it checks E-Mail. I have callers who would also like that as they want to check E-Mail but not the othher 300 megs of mail I carry. Also a few of us asked you about a QWF FORCE etc to force a conference to be always on in the mail door. It seems like you forgot about these request since no one reminded you of these option..
