KL> It Takes a line, remove all char there isn't "abcdef..xyz" + "0-9" if KL> you ask it. This way tag line like: KL> "something" -- By Me KL> "something" - By Me KL> is reconiest as a dupe. Excellent! This is one of the main problems with dupe checkers today... PJ> Does it contain something to remove email addresses? ie the line PJ> contains '.com', '.co.nz' '.org' '.co.uk' '.net' etc KL> Nope, I just made it as a dupe killer (and a token translator, because KL> i wanted that function :) Fair enough :-) KL> I have don that stuff in a another program, and i will not take long KL> to rewrite a function like what, if you or anyone else want it. Just KL> say so. Ok, just a though, but you could write it into the same prog using switches, have a basic dupe checker, and be able to use it for other purposes. Otherwise, to the less descerning user, it will seem to be pretty lacking in functionality, and they will go to something that purports to do more. KL> I think you got some thing wrong here, this program doesn't collect KL> tag/origin line, I leave it to other programs. I only look at a simple KL> text file, and remove dupes from this file. It expect the file to be KL> ONLY tag/origin lines. The thing is that most peoples tagfiles contain origin lines, other tears, etc that have been left in from when they got the message... And it is simply a nuisance to have to go through and check that you have gotten rid of them all. Esp when you have 100,000 odd tags :) PJ> I don't have inet access, but if you could send it to PJ> Paul.Jenkin@johnnos.pl.net I should get it. KL> Well ok. It's in the box. Thanks a lot. Ciao..
