Not the best I've ever sailed with, but he always had good(???) jokes to tell. Well, at least he told the jokes I new better than I could! I'm not sure anyone in this Echo knew him. If you commercially fished in Alaska, perhaps. As it is, he died the other day. Now, as he knew what I was doing that to him, I'll have to find another another skipper to train. Hopefully, they/he/she will be as ameniable to that as Bob was. "Well...", as Bob would say. We did ok racing and always tried to do better. Plus, we always had a lot of fun out there, inbetween the screaming, interposed with a ton of jokes. :) He will be missed. His enthusiam for sailing could only be matched, never exceeded by any other sailor I've ever met, myself included. Thanks for the boat rides, Bob. I'll miss you. As it is, I think I talked the rest of the fleet to racing next Thursday as Bob's Race. Works for me. I just hate saying goodbye to good friends. Then again, it was good times as well. ...
