GD> I thought you did Swiftsure last year? Unfortunately, nope. I was invited as crew on a local boat but didn't have enough time to get the necessary days off to make the trip. As yet, I haven't ever made the race. In the same race, a year earlier, another boat that asked me too late got a third in his class. (I think it was the best finish of any boat out of the John Wayne Marina.) Also, Mike Garner's boat, _Dandelion_ was not eligible to make the race, being about 3 ft too short. All I can say is that I do not want to miss next years race. Being this close to such a major race and not participating is starting to drive me crazy! Need a bow man? How about a trimmer? Tactician? I'd offer to drive, but I'm still learning to to that better! (Mike's training me on that!) Just as long as I'm not rail meat, I'll sail with anyone on any boat at any time! And, most anywhere, especially on the sleigh ride to Hawaii. --- PPoint 2.00 * Origin: 40 knots and you want the 1/2 Spinnaker?
