I a bit different, as the bulk of my sailing has been in racing. Pleasure cruising in the bay is nice, but even then I try to make the boat go as fast as possible. Granted, it makes for more work doing so, but there's something about having everything dialed in. Though it sounds like hard work, I actually find it a lot of fun. Besides, the skipper that I usually race with on Thursdays has pretty much the same attitude. For both of us, relaxing is _still_ making the boat go as fast as possible! Hello Augustine ... I suppose another nice weeeknd in Lotus land. Saturday here was most terriffic, Sunday ( today on the other hand ) was cold and wet and real windy. Did't go far in Toy Box this weekend, only over to Handlands, but there were a lot of folks over there that we knew and ... drink drink eat eat you know how it goes. Did meet up with Struther and Sheila for a drink late Saturday night. They come over to our Club a bit ( I think mostly Frdiay nights ) and we are never there :-( So it was nice to catch up with them. He has a great boat and I think they are really enjoying it. This is the time of year that I think living in Vancouver would be great, wouldn't have to hauk the boat, could sail on into the later months. Hope all is well and you are keeping out of mischief. Augustine how seriously did you injure your hand, was it your finger/s are you all healed up now ? Take care and drop me a post ... let me know what's going on. Well, I was lucky. I got mine, Maxprop, from a friend who knew a friend who was selling them and doled out $550.00 US for it. I still swear by it. I allowed me to pitch it to 9.5 degrees and thus allow my Yanmar to rev up a little more for the same push and got rid of the black smoke syndrone. My original Michigan prop was a 16 x 10. I got a 16 x 9.5 Maxprop now. I am evan toying with the idea of going to 16 x 9 even. At 2000 rpm I get 5.25 Kts and that is nice going on a calm day using the AMS 4404 to give me a G/C wake.
