It's one thing when there has been a clear violation, but they were a bit much. Fortunately, one have them has mellowed out and the other doesn't have his own boat to command anymore! If you are talking about the catamaran vs the monster mono-hull, that was quite embarassing, to say the least. Then, too, most of the Cup history has been in forming lopsided rules. It's nice to see things being playing on a more even playing field. However, do look at it this way: It brought a lot of publicity to the sport and had sparked a big interest in racing. Hopefully, it will be the fairness of the sport that will win out, not the wild dash to the Protest Room at the end of every race. ...
