What type of tube do you have? I really can't remember the brand name of the tube (it's at the creek w/ the boat). We purchased it at Academy; they carry a few different models. I believe it cost around $40, and it has held up really well, as we use the heck out of it during summer! :-) Ours is a 52" rubber tube with a nylon cover zipped around it. It is large enough for 2 kids. Sam's carries a nice tube; check them out if you have one near you. -- Ed -- stimac@hal-pc.org --- PPoint 2.03 * Origin: Butch's Blade Katy, TX (1:106/1010.6) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 253 BOATING Ref: E5L00001 Date: 05/16/97 From: GREG MOORE Time: 07:49am \/To: TIM MORGAN (Read 0 times) Subj: Watersports => Thanks for the advice. Just another word of advice :) Get an incredably strong tube if you plan on pulling it with anything with some power.. We used an Obrien 2 place tube (very good make) pulled behind a SeaDoo Sportster (twin 90hp jets). 2 200 lb people in it, one overly tight corner, probably something in the area of 70mph at the end of the whip and before the 2 of us did the slide on concrete (felt like it anyway) the tube got shredded :) In its defence, not exactly what they were built for and some serious sewing put it back together. The bladder never let go (our almost did :) but the fabric casing was ripped right off it.. ------------------------------- * Fidonet: Greg Moore 1:2424/222 * Internet: Greg.Moore@Sbbs.gryn.org ------------------------------- --- PBNet v1.95 #20 * Origin: Sandpiper BBS, Best in the Beach!
