LM> It's just idle speculation on my part, but I wonder _why_ after all this time, PKWare are starting to act interested in OS/2 again. One wouldn't have thought that given the prevalence of Info-ZIP's `zip' and `unzip' it would be a very profitable avenue for PKWare to pursue, especially given the obvious (and predictable) attitude of many people (such as yourself) who are perfectly content with the Info-ZIP utilities. Whatever the reason, this is a development that should be encouraged. Maybe we should contact Robert K Jung, tell him what his competitors are doing, and try to get that version of ARJ for OS/2 finished that he was talking about some years back ... > JdeBP < ___ X MegaMail 2.10 #0: --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: DoNoR/2,Woking UK (44-1483-725167) (2:440/4) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 252 OS2 DOS Ref: E1T00005 Date: 01/22/97 From: PETER PETRIN Time: 10:56am \/To: FRANK SEXTON (Read 2 times) Subj: Re: Backup Software FS> The DOS 2.04g can't read the PKZIP/2 archives.
