Quake runs perfectly under OS/2.. since it requires rebooting to DOS and closing down the BBS to try it on DOS, why should I bother? I can play Quake and have both nodes of the BBS running at full speed. That's all I want. :) C. I EMailed them about OS/2 support and my reply was, plain and simple "OS/2 is unsupported and we have o plans of supporting it in the future." So I chewed them out and accused them of stooping as low as Apogee. Then I said they have no idea how many of us OS/2 users are thrilled that Quake runs flawlessly under OS/2. I them told them I'm going to have everyone who runs OS/2 and Quake EMail them so they have some semblance of an idea how any of us there are. And maybe we can reverse the tide of things here. :) So, if you run OS/2 and Quake, and have access to EMail, please send them an EMail message to support@idsoftware.com saying "I run OS/2 and Quake and I love it! Please start supporting OS/2." JS> Still no ansi in a dos terminal session. JS> Any suggestion of a good OS/2 terminal program. Hi John, I like LiveWire 3.21. It has a PM mode that is quite nice and a full-screen text mode that is very fast. You can switch back and forth while connected by using the F12 key. You can get it from http://www.datamirage.com if you have Internet access. The filename is lw321.zip. It also has an add-in to enable RIP support if you want. Hi All! As said before in this and other conferences, Quake runs fine in an OS/2 DOS session, especially if you give it about 16 MB (or more) of DPMI. Networking with IPX runs fine, but Quake refuses to recognize TCP/IP. I tried TCP/IP v2.0 from the BonusPak and TCP/IP v3.04c from Warp Connect as well as v3.07 (which you get after applying IBM's fix called IC12657). Nothing. Does anyone know how to get Quake to work with OS/2's TCP/IP, so that network play over the Internet is possible? ._|~/_ johan@datatestlab.com http://www.innet.be/~jschild/johan.htm --- Maximus-CBCS v3.01 * Origin: Tripod BBS Belgium - bortaS bIr jablu'DI'reH QaQqu' nay' (2:292/100)
