If you have the 16 port version of SIO, and com1 1 and 2 are real ports, coms 3 through 16 can be set up as Vmodem ports. Instead of Com1, it would be \pipe\BBS or whatever name you want to use instead of BBS. Do this in both Adept, and in your comm program. With Adept, just fire up one more node than you usually use, and set that one up as a named pipe. The name you use for the pipe has to be the same in both the Adept config, and the Terminal Program setup. Works like a champ, and you are seeing things just like your users will be seeing it via a modem login. BTW, set it up at the highest com port speed your computer supports. 115,200 baud.
