JM> I recently finished translating my MSGAREA.CTL (Max 3.01) into JM> Message_Areas (AdeptXBBS) Quite the job eh? I started to do that and then thought it would be far more interesting to write REXX conversion scripts that would elimate the drugery of typing in all the msgarea.ctl, filearea.ctl and user.bbs information by hand. Nearly finished them now........not all things are able to be ported across (at least with my limited programming skills) but they should cut down on the major part of converting to Adept. They are only for Max v2.xx right now but if I get inspired I may have a go at ones for the v3.xx too. JM> been 2MB+, if only the messages' BODIES were fetched. However, I have YET to find something that will tell me how to do the following: 1. Login to my ISP's POP3 server and get all mail (they're all for me, of course), then decode all UU/XX/MIME-coded mail into the incoming mail dir, nd then send all my outgoing internet email to the POP3 server.... ... then Toss the internet e-mail to the netmail area(s) and all cho/netmail messages to the echo/netmail areas. I am still using Bink & Max/2 3.01, and I haven't seen a good PPP auto-dialer (I can't register Injoy yet... no means) that will login to my ISP and let me get / send all mail then logoff, then go back to Binkley, so I have turned some of my attention to Adept. Will Adept help me on these needs of mine? Or is there another BBS package for OS/2 that will do the trick? My ISP doesn't feature UUCP, and offers only PPP access. ...
