LE> Adios for now, Lightnin' Lar LL> Your moniker have anything to do with playing guitar (just LL> curious)? Nope, I was a drummer, my father and my son were/are the guitarists in the family tree . My son's band, Paradox is gaining popularity down in Texas, (said the proud dad ). My name sort of evolved due to 4 close but not quite dead center lightning strikes on my tender personage, over 20 years in electronics and computers, and a rapid sense of humor at times . I could fire the above LL> proggies off to you if you wish..............:-) Yes we have a full featured email handler on the lil' OS/2 server. As a matter of fact, my BBS and the fidogate.com server both run under OS/2. The server is due more upgrades soon. We intend to take the load of echomail/filebone handling off the main server and dedicate the big 200 Mhz system to WEB/FTP/EMAIL only activities, the smaller box will just sit there and crunch data all day long. We have been going weeks without reboots, after the initial learning curve, that is. Tesla's Tower is going back to fulltime operation as the NET346 HUB system near the end of Sept, so I'm now considering building a small network here at home to better serve the needs of the HUB feeds as well as the users logging in for their precious little door games . I experimented all weekend with different dos program time slice releasers and still seem no closer to a good, all around solution to the cpu resource hogging done by a few of the doors. But, every time I go after a solution, I learn a little more. Adios for now, Lightnin' Lar (larry@fidogate.com) --- timEd/2 1.10 * Origin: Tesla's Tower/FidoGate-[ftp.fidogate.com]-WARP-SPEED!
