My docs suggest that the most likely problem is that the link is not 8 bit clean. Try writing a simple 'door' that just shuffles data from one serial port to another (which uses Vmodem), as Vmodem can provide an 8 bit clean link, so the PC becomes a simple link between 2 "serial ports". I don't know if you mentioned this, but are you able to download binary files over the BBS/telnet door link to the Linux box? My successes have all been using Vmodem on the OS/2 box. I just ran Trumpet Winsock under Win OS/2, "dialled" the Linux box and ran the remote pppd. Although with -> the exception of Squish, I can't really think of a tosser that doesn't ave -> a setup program. As far as mailers go, and if administration matters, does -> having to go through a hundred netmail attaches to find the mail for someone -> sound like efficient administration? I haven't seen a dynamic mailer that -> runs as fast on connections as a Static mailer. -> I can guarantee that I can do my administrative tasks just as fast with my -> text editor as most can with a setup program. It's all in what you get sed -> to. I used to hate text configs for much the same reason as you. But with -> the lack of good mailers that have a setup program under OS/2, I took the -> plunge and tried a couple of text-based mailers. I decided I liked the act -> that I now had a native OS/2 mailer running and learned to handle the text -> configs. Okay, then what combination would you suggest? If the tosser upports PCBoard msg format then that is a definate plus. Both must be native 32-bit OS/2 and be powerful since I do alot of hubbing.
