Apr 7 20:52:48 galilee kernel: ppp: channel ppp0 closing. Apr 7 20:52:48 galilee pppd[240]: LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests Apr 7 20:52:48 galilee pppd[240]: Connection terminated. Apr 7 20:52:48 galilee pppd[240]: set kernel debugging level to 2 Apr 7 20:52:48 galilee pppd[240]: Exit. The procedure for testing was to load a winsock on another machine (tried two that work fine with the local ISP, or with the OS/2 PPPD), dial into the BBS, open the OS/2 telnet door, log into the Linux box using a special account (this account has pppd as the shell in the passwd file), watch the Linux pppd daemon try to start the handshake, then enable packet mode on the remote machine. Any ideas? -=- Craig. Internet e-mail: craig.clark@cdbbs.org --- timEd/2 1.01+ * Origin: -={ CD-BBS, Devonshire BERMUDA Telnet: 199.172.200.158}= (1:3658/1)
