I run Maximus/2 on a 486dx4/100 with 8 meg ram and a Phoebe 33.6k modem. The doors I currently have set up are: Lord, BRE, IronOX and TradeWars 2002. None of them want to work. Maximus puts COM5 (when I am actually on COM2) in the door dropfile and then that door tries to use that port and fails and then pops back to the BBS. I have 4 COM ports in use. COM1 is my Logitech Serial Mouse, COM2 in my Phoebe 33.6k modem, and COM3 is my Virtual Modem port. My SIO lines in config.sys are as follows: DEVICE=C:\SIO\SIO.SYS (COM2:115200,2F8,3,-) (COM3,INTERNET:3E8,NONE:4) DEVICE=C:\SIO\VSIO.SYS DEVICE=C:\SIO\VX00.SYS If anyone has any ideas on how to fix my problem, please let me know. I am going to start receiving all my FidoNet feeds from the Planet Connect system I just purchased. Planet Connect offers a service for free where you can FTP your outgoing mail packets to them. What I was wondering is if there is a program that will handle the FTP by itself, that way I can have my system dial-up the internet and start that program so I don't have to do it manually. Does such a program exist? Thanks for your help. JPDoor, was an easy to use DOS (BLA! =>) interface. Something simple that I used for a while. Hey, have you read the VP/2 Web Page? Look under the VP in Real Life... and look for my little write up. Java bbs system ? Sounds a bit crazy .. But my future thoughts about this is completly different, in the future you'll get the bbs'es in web/ftp/telnet, they will offer the user something different than a usual www page or ftp site. And you will still need OS2 or any other os'es to run them on.. :) .. With the Cabel Modem service such bbs'es will be more and more frequent I suppose.. Only WildCat Navigaor ? and MetaWorld (PCBoard) has such features (web/ftp/telnet) support but ofcourse.. Noone knows what the future will bring you.. ...
