SIO155 - some people had no problems with it, and others(such as myself), were finding strange things happening with the DTR and subsequent hangups on the user. Not worth fighting with, if SIO153 is stable. I upgraded to 1.57, and was still having the problems I had with V1.55, so I went back to 1.53. --- VFIDO 7.12 * Origin: PC Online (1:2424/2406) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 251 OS2 BBS Ref: DEV00007 Date: 10/24/96 From: HANS SCHUTS Time: 12:03pm \/To: BART VAN RILLAER (Read 3 times) Subj: Sio problems... One of the semaphores is useable by 16 bit code, the other is usable by 32 bit code. Both the 16 and 32 bit semaphores are set and cleared at the same time. The names are \SEM\VMODEMn and \SEM32\VMODEMn, where n is the port number (1 or more decimal digits). The semaphores are set at load time and when a disconnect occurs. The semaphores are cleared when Vmodem starts "ringing" a communications port indicating an incoming connect attempt. Programs can test the semaphore(s) and spawn a program to process an incoming call (connect). ==cut== Mark - Sysop/Sysadmin GATE306/Crystals.aloha.or.us --- GoldED/2 2.50.Beta5+ * Origin: *The Crystal Ship* PDX Internet Gateway v34+ [CM/MO/LO] 1:105/306) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 251 OS2 BBS Ref: DEV00010 Date: 10/25/96 From: NICKY MORROW Time: 11:40pm \/To: ERIN HOLT (Read 3 times) Subj: BBS Problems Hello Erin! > I'm Running Proboad V2.15 Under OS/2 Warp 3.0 with BNU for > the Fossil Driver.
