Well, freqable from 2:220/297, El Paso, SysOp Pasi Talliniemi, the author of Concord. It should also be available at Len Morgan's BBS at 1:203/730, he is the USA support site of Concord. The filenames are CON-004C.RAR, CONP004C.RAR and CONO004C.RAR. First is DOS version, includes also other needed stuff. Second is DOS Protected mode, and the last OS/2 version. This release has still some annoying bugs, but it's developing all the time. Tero --- * Origin: GrandSlam via Telnet on ASM'96. BEISEL (Read 4 times) Subj: Binkley & FAX David A. Beisel wrote the following to ALL, and I quote (in part): DAB> What do I need to get Binkley to receive a fax? The prime requirement is the use of a modem that incorporates support for adaptive answering using the Class 2 or 2.0 fax command set. With that requirement met: 1. Configure the modem such that it is in adaptive answering mode (this will vary somewhat depending on the command set the modem uses) For a modem which supports the Class 2 command set, the answer string would be somewhat akin to: AT+FCLASS=2|``AT+FLID="713 458 0237";AT+FAA=1+FCR=1;+FDCC=1,3,0,2,0,0,0;A and similar to: AT+FCLASS=2\.0|``AT+FLI="713 458 0237";+FAA=1+FBO=1+FNR=1,1,1,1;A for a modem which supports Class 2.0 2. Define the modem's response to an incomming fax call via a ModemFax entry in your config file. Eg. ModemFax +FCON ; for Class 2 ModemFax +FCO ; for Class 2.0 3. For a Class 2 device it will also be necessary that you -not- lock your port, instead allowing Binkley to lock it upon detection of specific conditions via LockBaud directives in your config file. Eg. lockbaud /ARQ Lockbaud /VFC Lockbaud /V34 Lockbaud /V32 You must also include a FaxBaud directive to change the port speed to 19.2kbps for a Class 2 device. Eg. Faxbaud 19200 Step 3 is not required for devices which siupport the Class 2.0 command set. 4. Declare a reception directory in your Binkley.Cfg file Eg. FaxInDir D:\BINK\FAX-IN\ 4. Define a period in your event file during which Binkley is allowed to answer incomming calls. DAB> I'm still using version 2.56 for OS/2. I highly recommend that you upgrade to v2.60. It appeared to have something to do with not being able to turn off XON/XOFF flow control (Unless I'm missing a MODE paramter that should be incredibly obvious). I was getting 300cps at 28.8! Ray has gotten _no_ problem reports with 1.5 All I've noticed is that 1.55 has a 30 second delay on it if it isn't registered. Not only that, if you run 1.55 first, and then try downgrading o 1.53, the delay is still there. I'm still not sure how Ray did that, but it was pretty creative. :) C.
