BW> -=[ Bob ]=- BW> BW> I am sure that you have received many ideas on this, the following will also work: If you are using Binkley/2, temporarily add this line to the spawnbbs.cmd: echo %3 > anyname.txt ^ ^ ( use whatever file name you want). Binkley/2 will pass the file handle number and the echo command will write it to the file. In Maximus/2, just make up a mecca file that contains: [open]anyname.txt [comment : any name will do here] [write]%p [close]anyname.txt the file, anyname.txt should have the file handle number. BTW: for your dos games, just hard code the com port in the doorinfo.mec and don't worry about the file handle number; use a separate dorinfo.mec for each com port You can also use Hstart to start the dos session, which has a "wait" command, this will keep your OS/2 bbs waiting until the user exits the dos session. the only other thing you need is SIO and the "-" parameter, the following is for com 1 DEVICE=C:\SIO\SIO.SYS (COM1:38400,3F8,4,-) ^ Oh, if the door needs a fossil, try VX00, or BNU and load it when the dos session starts. We still have several older dos doors that like the fossil locked at 38400, so we keep everything set there. Back in the old dos days we used to take the modem off line and re-lock the modem at different baud rates to accomodate some of the games, but that doesn't work too good with OS/2 . good luck, joe PS: Don't forget to try some of the native OS/2 doors, like, Land of Devastation and Iron OX --- timEd/2 1.00 * Origin: After Hours BBS (717)865-2636 USR DS 16.8 (1:270/315)
