My 'other' computer on which I have been operating Quicken v 3 has Win 3.1. I had a few little problems installing Quicken on the Win 95 machine, and when I eventually did get it up and running, I had difficult getting the backup (done under Win 3.1) to restore under Win 95. In fact it would only take up to a certain date - leaving about 4 weeks entries off. I entered these manually and have had no further problems except for a Billminder.exe error message when I turn my computer on. Has anyone else had these problems? Reasons? I use Quicken 4.0 on my machine at home, and have been looking at Quicken 5.0. What are the primary differences between 4.0 and 5.0 at both the 'basic' and 'deluxe' level? Also how does 5.0 handle on NT 4.0? Anyone tried it? Intuit was not very helpful when I asked them. The tech said soemthing about ,"It runs but we have reservations about it." No, that's not the proper way, tho his SysOp can help him locate ELFAQ, ELIST & ELMOD files, which contain complete details. He will also need either FIDO NetMail or InterNet access to file moderator updates.
