Under windows 3.1 > no trouble--started acting up after going to WIN95!!! Apc some > help if possible--Thanks. This is probably a problem with the printer driver for Win 95 ... It is sending a form feed to the printer after each job (and it is interpreting each check as a separate job). Unless you are very knowledgable at programing (and want to try to modify the printer driver), I can only think of one "work around). Change Quicken to print to a file ... then use Win95 to print that file. (It will now interpret the entire file as a single job and won't insert any form feeds.) --- * Origin: Splitting Atom *RiverVale NJ* 201-573-9262 *HST/V34+ (1:2604/2) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 249 QUICKEN Ref: D1W00001 Date: 01/26/96 From: ARNOLD PITTAO Time: 12:51am \/To: TOM CIARAMITARO (Read 19 times) Subj: found "older" quicken -=> Quoting Tom Ciaramitaro to All <=- TC> Thanks for all who replied...I had asked for anyone who may have an TC> older copy of Quicken if they would sell it to me, had a friend who TC> wanted to get started. Except Word Perfect 6.0. Quicken 5 is reasonably quick in that machine. Not on my DX50, however. QuickPay is set up to defer FWH, SWH and LWH. Taxes are paid on FICA and MCARE. Line 1 of the W-2's is less than line 3 by the amount of the 457 withholding. Is this correct? My own business is set up with a 401k program. The amount on line 1 of the W-2 is MORE than the line 3 amount. I don't understand why these two salary deferral systems result in different relationships between line 1 and line 3. Is one of these set up incorrectly? It has been lacking in a few things, but I've gotten by. Now I've gotten an upgrade notice/offer from Intuit and am contemplating going to Quickbooks Pro 4.0 on cd-rom. It offers features to fill most of the lacks I've had, but I've no experience with it and haven't found anyone I know that's using it. My question ....Are any of you out there using it and what do you think of it? Are there any major downsides Intuit isn't telling me about? BTW, I've had several occasions to call Tech assistance at Intuit. I've always found them to be extremely helpful, willing to stay on line til the problem is fixed adnanswers found. Also, they open at 6 a.m., Tucson AZ time, and are fairly easy to contact if you call at odd hours, like 6 a.m. --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.12 * Origin: -- Taking PHX By Storm! <602-258-1112> 1:114/184.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 249 QUICKEN Ref: D1^00000 Date: 01/29/96 From: BILL WHITE Time: 02:59pm \/To: TERRY G WRIGHT (Read 16 times) Subj: Year End TGW> Is there any version of Quicken which will let me select my own year end?
