RP> It runs slower than the shareware terminals I have. I have 12mb RAM and a RP> 486DX2/50mhz with a 28800 USR Sportster, so what is wrong? What tiny detail RP> am I forgetting? If you run under Windows, screen updates are smoother and appear faster if you use full-screen rather than window mode. It could also be a connection at a slow speed. When you get connected, what speed does Qmodem report in the message box? What speed does the BBS report during sign-on? That could be because you somehow changed the default modem type to a 2400 of 9600 model. Does it happen on more than one BBS? If it's on only one, maybe the two modems "agree" on a slower speed during the handshaking process. Or the phone number you dial is for slower modems. Are you tallking about U/L and D/L? Maybe you're getting noisy lines that cause errors. Was it ever faster on the same computer? What did you change between then and now? * QMPro 1.53 * Why does Hawaii have Interstate highways? --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.12 * Origin: Acorn I BBS * 1:2624/503 * Marlboro, NY * USR 28.8 (1:2624/503.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 248 QMODEM USER Ref: D1500005 Date: 12/29/95 From: CHARLIE ROVNER Time: 10:31pm \/To: MICHAEL KELLEY (Read 8 times) Subj: Qmodem TD, Pro 1.53 MK> I installed Qmodem TD 4.6 on a friends computer, with his Zoom 28.8 MK> VFPV32bis fax modem.
