I wasn't aware that Patsy Walker was dead! How did she die? I am all for reviving Kyle Richmond as Nighthawk, for Marvel killed off way too many characters and some of the deaths were very cheap! I would imagine that Marvel would just create a new Yellow Jacket rather than return Henry Pym to the role. It this is the case, I would like the outfit to be the same as Pym's with just the man inside the outfit be different. I do recall that Hank Pym, after his trial in The Avengers, he said that all it (the costume) needed was a good man to wear it! So why not capitalize on that statement?!? I agree with you on Ghost Rider, I also was tired of him when he was so overused, but as you put it, his popularity has greatly decline and won't over-shadow The Hulk, Sub-Mariner, etc.! Along with that Impressive line-up, how about adding a lesser profiled character like perpahs Thor's brother, Balder, or one of the New Men, or Shaing Chi - Master of Kung Fu? This is a great way to give more exposure to the lesser known characters. Imagine Balder making cross-references to his brother, THOR, who is a member of The Avengers? or an Evoled Jack-Ass? or a member that relies on Martial Arts? DJ> Hmm, it was unexpected, to be sure that the time trapper turned DJ> out to be cosmic boy. I wonder if that will still hold. Probably not. I think they made the pre-reboot Cosmic Boy into the Time Trapper 'cuz they knew Zero Hour was bringing about massive changes for the Legion and IMO, it was a nice way to answer the question of just who was the Time Trapper. I also liked the way the pre-reboot Legion came down to the 2 versions of the original 3 Legionnaires. If the current Time Trapper isn't involved in the upcoming #1000000 issues... he really outta be, IMO. How've you liked the way they've been reconciling the pre-reboot Legion's appearances in the Superman story, "Time & Time Again"? I noticed back during "The Final Night" storyline when Superman referred to Live Wire as "Lightning Lad" that something still wasn't quite right with the timestream... and I think the way they've handled it was an ingenious way to keep those stories a part of Legion & Superman continuity (and avoids the mess DC had/continues to have with the silver age Hawkman and his post-Crisis, pre-reboot history). As far as I can tell, there should be 3 more Superman visits to the Legion... one from the '70s team... one from the last incarnation of the pre- reboot team (the issue where the moon was destroyed) and the 1st post- Crisis story where Superman encountered the Legion (when the pocket universe Superboy was killed). An anniversary issue was a great place to set this stuff straight... and these time-slips give us all a nostalgic look back at what came before Zero Hour. I know I'm having fun... Talk to you later. I've had no problems locating more copies of the issues surrounding #232 than I could possibly want (which fortunately for me is only 1 copy...)... but nobody ever seems to have #232. Do you know why it's an "in-demand" issue? I know Lightning Lad & Saturn Girl were married in one of those huge Treasury Edition-size books DC & Marvel were so fond of back in the '70s... so what happened in that issue that makes it such a classic? ST> Some GREAT Keith giffen stories from before he went cartoonish! DH> Actually, it was the Giffen era which got me interested in the DH> Legion on a fairly full-time basis. I remember a while ago (maybe as far back as a decade), I was in a comic store and was discussing Giffen's change in style with the owner. He told me that neither of Giffen's art-styles was entirely his own... at least originally. Being the skeptic I am, he ended up having to pull out examples of both styles out of his comic bins to convince me. I couldn't believe it... but there it was... I have to admit, I do like a lot of Giffen's DC work. His Ambush Bug and Heckler were a lot of fun to read. DH> You're right, the story did feature one of Triplicate Girl's DH> "selves" being killed by Computo (if I remember correctly, didn't DH> the 2nd body "buy the farm" in a battle with the Time Trapper in DH> LSH (Vol. 3) #45?). ST> Heh...that's when you COULD follow Legion stories! I'd be lost ST> today. Ironically though, it'd be a whole lot easier and less-expensive to follow the current Legion books. I don't think the rebooted Legion team has been around for 50 issues yet... so that'd mean there's less than 100 issues to buy to be completely up-to-date with what's been going on... Compared to the lengthy run the old Legion had in "Adventure Comics", the back-up features in "Action Comics", their usurpation of the pre-Crisis Superboy's series and the 2 series which came after that anyway... Whichever era folks prefer, they've both had more than their share of great and classic stories, IMO. Talk to you later.
