In the control panel there is a place in advanced under modems to add extra things like "S" registers but it doesn't display the commands like older Qmodem programs. The UART is enabled. I checked this by checking the comm port and it verified back that it is enabled. Where did your friend enable his UART setting?. I am using a Magnum 28.8 modem. Win 95 saw this as a Boca modem and I left it as that. I also set up the FAX after my initial Win 95 install.
