Th -> more I hear, the more I'm glad I didn't upgrade! I have QMPro-DOS and bought the QMPro W95 too. I'm terribly disappointed too. Hopefully they can improve it with updates. Main gripes: No terminal mode... (That I can find.) I was trying to change several settings on the modem and found I could not enter them from terminal mode. I knew there would be no OLX. QMPro/WIN didn't have it either. It was sold SEPARATELY. No conversion for QMPro/Dos Script files. QmPro/dos would remember that last number called in a session. If you made a call, then pulled up the dialing directory again, the highlight bar would be on the last number dialed. This is gone in W95. That's all I can find now. I was so disappointed, I setup the DOS version to use through W95. --- * Origin: * Mississippi Online * 601-356-9032 * 28.8 * (1:361/205) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 248 QMODEM USER Ref: CEP00003 Date: 10/15/95 From: DAVID SISSON Time: 11:14pm \/To: MEL OLNEY (Read 6 times) Subj: UPGRADES MO-> I have been reading this echo for a few days hoping to learn a bit about -> upgrades. I will go and look right know and see if i can find that file if i can i will let you now what the name is. Well i just check my directory where my qmodem is and there is a log file in there mine is call QMODEM.LOG. I just look at it and it tells me everything i did even if i download a file how long it took also tells me how much time i spent on the modem to the bbs i belong to. I do not know if it will help you but check where you have you qmodem dir and see if there is a log file in there someplace. I just check my qmodem pro for windows and could not find a qmodem pro log file in the directory which i think is dum but what else can we get from a windows program. I hope you do fine a log if not then they did not feel like one was needed. Oh hold on: 1.52 for DOS. 1. I am just typing my response and I'm hung. 2. It just sits there and then I reboot. 3. I have both but I am using QMP for DOS right now. 4. 8 megs.
