Enter the LD Co # or your Phone Credit Card #/codes in entry "A" (i.e. 1-800-933-8000, 4747 (that's some sort of code from the phone carrier)... Phonebook...set up the entry (i.e. Pam's BBS, E1-916-673-4269, in CA). Now when you select Pam's BBS QMP will dial the LD card numbers followed by the phone # of the BBS. You can also set up the prefixes to be used after dialing the phone # (i.e. 1-916-673-4269,B). Hope you can figure out what I said...just try following my keywords using your mouse. After the first time, it's easy. Good Luck ill ... It does not work. Hi. You're on the right track, so let's try to refine it. Sample case: you dial 1-800-842-8866, wait up to 10 seconds (but no longer) after dialing the last 6 to get an access-code prompt, dial 7069183, wait up to 6 seconds (but no longer) for it to be verified and then dial the phone number (1-212-999-1234). Solution 1: Program dial prefix I to ATDT18008428866,,,,,7069183,,, and the FON-file phone number to `I12129991234 or `I1-212-999-1234. Solution 2 (mandatory if your access code plus the requisite number of delay commas before & after it total more than 15 since Solution 1 illustrates the maximum-length string you can assign to a single prefix): Program dial prefix I to ATDT18008428866,,,,, and dial prefix J to 7069183,,, and the phone number to `I`J1-212-999-1234 (with or without the optional hyphens. If you've not overridden your modem's factory default S8=2 setting, each comma represents a 2-second delay, so adjust the number of commas before & after the access code as required. If this doesn't resemble your actual case closely enough for you to figure out what you need to do, please explain your requirement in more detail, including the delay times required (determined from timing a few manual calls on your voice phone) and the length (but NOT the content) of the access code. And finally, when you get it working, DON'T dial any of the numbers that use this prefix while others can read your screen, since your access code WILL probably be visible until a modem session is established or you abort the call. The back-quote tells QmPro to use the prefix as part of the modem command (to send special AT commands). Try it without the quote. What is the most current version of DOORWAY. Is it > shareware? > What is the fee? The latest version I have is 2.22 (DRWY222.ZIP) dated 8-30-93. The registration fee was then $30 + $3 shipping charge. A few months back I saw an apparent later version on a local BBS, but HD problems had corrupted the file and the SysOp did not have an uncorrupted backup. I've not seen that one elsewhere locally yet. I probably COULD get the latest version from the author's BBS (Data World, 615-966-3667 or 615-675-3282), but I've not yet bothered to do so since my 2.22 copy works well. So I'm skeptical (but hoping someone can convince me) that you ca -> write a generic script that will work an all BBSes. This would be impossible, since BBS systems differ within the same software. If you have VBBS, you can make a system look and act however you want. Different prompts, different menus, different options and doors... the options are endless. Many BBS softwares allow such variance, so I guess you can see that generic script would never work on all systems. The best way to accomplish this is to make a seperate phonebook entry and change the name of the script to a new name. Turn on Quicklearn, call the BBS and pick and choose the options you want to automate. AFter loggin off, TURN OFF Quicklearn. This script will be a rough draft for future use. Then, dig out that QmPro manual and start reading on the script language. With a LITTLE effort, you can configure a workable script to catch varing logon prompts, d/l QWK packets and the like...
