I have never had any luck -> making a script (either piecing it together or putting the program on -> "learn" mode.) I would like to have a script that would call the two or -> three BBS's I get mail from (one is a GAP BBS running Mainmail and the -> other is a Wildcat board running wcMAIL.) I would like to be able to -> start the script, leave for work, and when I get home, have the program -> call the bbs's, log in, upload a .rep packet, download the new .qwk -> packet and log off. I need to have this happen by itself (without me Since even the same BBS packages differ in flavour, your best bet is to put Qmodem in the learn mode and create the script yourself. I have created several scripts this way. But even the Learn mode isn't perfect. You may have to edit it here and there. I'll be glad to post my script that does just what you're requesting, but it's for a RA BBS. (And it doesn't call out automatically. But again that can be edited.) (oh I'm using the DOS version and I don't know if the script language is different or not.) --- * Origin: * Mississippi Online * 601-356-9032 * 28.8 * (1:361/205) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 248 QMODEM USER Ref: CCB00007 Date: 08/02/95 From: DAVID SISSON Time: 05:25pm \/To: ROGER PHILLIPS (Read 6 times) Subj: Qmodem 5.0??? It is a standard ascii text file with the paths and filenames of the files selected. Apparently this file is created even with a manual single file upload. (If you have files selected prior to logging on to a BBS, and decide to send a BBS.REP packet back, your files that you picked before logging on will be replaced with the BBS.REP path and filename after the upload occurs.) In either case, it's not a problem if it's deleted. Maybe an inconvenience, but that's all. --- * Origin: * Mississippi Online * 601-356-9032 * 28.8 * (1:361/205) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 248 QMODEM USER Ref: CCC00000 Date: 08/06/95 From: BOB RICHARDS Time: 12:42pm \/To: CHARLES DOBBS (Read 7 times) Subj: Any U/L Experts Out There CD>BR:>I'm new to modems, and I'm having an U/L problem that I haven't been able CD>BR:>to solve myself: CD>BR:>I tried U/Ling two ZIP files to three different local BBS's.
