Is your modem internal or external and does it have 16550 UART chips either on the modem or the serial card [external modem]. Sounds like your data flow is having "bottleneck" problems. I am using zoom fax modem 14400 v.32bis. I don't know anything about init strings. If I find one that works good with this modem and qmodem does that mean it will work with any communication programs? I don't think so because I am having problems. If someone else has zoomfax 14400 could it be possible to use the same init as that person? Also when I down load I have no error count with qmodem. On the otherhand when I upload I have endless amounts of error counts. thanks for any help Rob Jackson --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.12 * Origin: THE NO NAME BBS, KISSIMMEE,FL. 407-935-9647 (1:3633/2.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 248 QMODEM USER Ref: C5T00000 Date: 05/22/95 From: BOB SEABORN Time: 10:10am \/To: KENT ANDERSON (Read 9 times) Subj: Problem > or Taipei while I wait. I am after the manuals for reading mostly. I am not a proficient computer type but being a handicapped person I have lots of time to spend reading about them and even thought I do not make any changes I still enjoy reading the why's and how's. If you would be interested in parting with qm pro with the manuals give me a price. I am currently running qm 4.60td with olx-td and really enjoy it but have found the doc's lacking or perhaps it is me that is the lacking part. . The doc's do not explaine much and was hoping to pick ;up some stuff from qm pro.
