I am a registered user of Qmodem 4.5, and am quite familiar with the program. On his system, however, I have had this problem: All diagnostics whow that his Sportster 14400 V.32bis modem is properly configured and it is possible to dial out through another comm program. Qmodem does not reflect what is typed at the terminal command screen to the screen. I have covered these tracks so far, with no success: Checked the modem setup string, and ATE1 is in there. Terminal emulation is ANSI. Set to Full Duplex. Yet, when I type a command, nada! Any ideas as to what else can cause this error? Thanks for any help. Kent, ... I've been experimenting with this; when I use alt-E to toggle duplex, (twice) the problem dissappears. As soon as I switched to half duplex, and typed a command, viola!, it appeared. When I switched back to full, I can still see the commands.
